🦖 Ravager — The Nightmare Hound of Aberration
The Ravager is not just another predator — it is a legendary pack killer from the Aberration expansion that has become a symbol of survivors’ nightmares. It is a fierce, fast, and incredibly dangerous creature that, in skilled hands, turns into a universal mount for exploration, combat, and logistics.
The Ravager is a fast, aggressive pack predator that combines the role of a combat mount, a cargo transport, and a mobile explorer.
Unique Mechanics:
🩸 Bleed (Gnash) — the core feature. Its attack applies a powerful bleed effect that slows the target and deals serious periodic damage. This makes escaping from a Ravager practically impossible.
🧗 Zip-line Climbing — a unique ability. The Ravager can climb onto zip-lines and move along them up and down, as well as upside down (when saddled).
📦 Resource Weight Reduction — by 50%. Works on wood, thatch, metal (not ingots), stone, crystal, obsidian, fiber, fungal wood, and condensed gas. Makes it an ideal transport for heavy loads.
🐺 Pack Bonus — in a pack of 2+ individuals, it gains +50% damage and resistance. The pack alpha emits a red aura.
🦘 Jumping and Reduced Fall Damage — capable of high jumps and takes reduced fall damage.
🔫 Shooting from the Saddle — firearms can be used while mounted.
⚠️ Radiation Immunity — NO. Ravagers take radiation damage and cannot survive in the red zone of Aberration.
Taming:
- Knockout with Tranquilizers, Darts, or Arrows
- ⚠️ Critical Tip: Ravagers are susceptible to Bola, but a hit to the snout breaks the Bola — aim for the body
- Trap Tactic: Build a stone trap at least 3 walls high — they jump very high and can escape low enclosures
- Killing the Pack: It is recommended to kill all extras in the pack, leaving only the target Ravager, to avoid problems with bleed and the pack bonus
Spawn Locations:
- Aberration — Green Zone (primary habitat), rarely in the Blue Zone
- Valguero — in the Aberration cave
